YVR DOMESTIC TERMINAL UPGRADE PROJECT

M2K Construction completed a 2 acre excavation for the new passenger terminal building at YVR, Vancouver airport. The project is valued at 7.5 million dollars.  M2K construction crews performed the excavation amongst the surrounding aircraft and within the secured airfield space at YVR .

Project Challenges: M2K performed the excavation below the water table level which involved to cut and fill over 100,000 cubic meters of native material. The scope of work included installation of deep underground utilities.

Project Highlights: The project was accomplished during normal airport operations at YVR.  M2K’s work processes were efficient ultimately having zero impact on the regular operations of the airport passenger services.
