The City of White Rock hired M2K Construction to reinstate multiple sections of eroded shoreline within the East and West sides of the communities beaches.  Accomplishing this involved restoring and shaping approximately 250LM of shoreline adjacent to Marine Drive by importing filter and armor rock. Additionally, M2K successfully revitalized several areas of landscaping along the charming and popular White Rock promenade.

Project Challenges: M2K overcame the challenge of mobilizing large equipment and importing over 500 dump truck loads of new rock through a densely populated area.  Once all material was onsite it had to be taken over a busy BNSF railroad.  The railroad had strict regulatory procedures, compliance with the requirements was mandatory.

Project Highlights: M2K successfully mitigated the impact to the environment, ensuring that aquatic marine habitats were protected and preserved during the construction process.  The work was completed in less than one month, minimizing impact to the public.
